Love your beary much - Heritage Layout

Mit dem neuen BYOC Kit "Love you beary much" von Pink Reptile Designs habe ich dieses Heritage Layout gemacht. Die Template kommt von Tangie Baxter und ist kostenlos hier zu bekommen. das Foto habe ich mit einem Farbverlauf im Multiply Blending Mode überzogen - ein Effekt, der mir sehr gut gefällt.

I made this heritage layout with Pink Reptile Designs' new BYOC kit "Love you beary much". The template is from Tange Baxter and free this month for the template challenge.
I put a gradient overlay on top of the photo with the multiply blnding mode - an effect I really like.

MOC 3: Mood board challenge

MOC Tag 3: Die Herausforderung: Kreiere ein Mood Board und dann danach ein Layout. Ich hatte schon letztes Jahr einige Mood Board gemacht (die ich noch immer nicht gepostet habe), und das hat richtig Spass gemacht. Als Thema dachte ich mir sowas wie "Paris Chic". Daraus ist dann dieses Mood Board entstanden:

MOC Day3: The challenge: Create a mood board and then a layout with it as inspiration. I already made a few mood boards last year and really enjoyed it. As the topic I chose something along the lines of "Paris Chic". Below is my result: 

12 Days of Art Journaling

Schon 2016 gab es die 12 Days of Art Journaling bei The Lilypad, die ich begeistert mitmachte. Dieses Jahr war es wieder soweit und zwölf Tage bedeutet für mich zwölf ATCs.

Basierend auf den twelve days of Christmas kann man immer etwas mit dem tatsächlichen Songtext machen, oder aber mit einer vorgegebenen Alternative.

Already last year I joined the 12 days of art journaling at The Lilypad. This year it happened again and that means for me 12 ATCS.

Tag 1: On the 1st day of Christmas some true friends brought to you, a cup of cocoa and marshmallows too!!

Das hier ist meine ATC dazu, und sie schaffte es gleich zu einem GSO, was mich sehr überraschte, denn ich habe die Karte schnell hingepfeffert zwischen zwei DYD Layouts und einer Episode Vikings.

This is my ATC and it made GSO that really surprised me. It took me all of 15 minutes to throw it together between two DYD pages and a Vikings episode.

Art Journaling: People who say it cannot be done

Für eine Challenge sollte man ein Layout machen, mit einem schrägen Design, schräg wie in schief... Sowas ist überhaupt nicht mein Ding, aber was soll's. Keinesfalls mache ich ein Layout mit Fotos so, also mußte es so was wie eine AJ Seite werden.

Im Grunde genommen könnte man auch alles gerade machen und dann am Schluß einfach drehen. Wie sich herausstellte, ist das offenbar sogar üblich, aber ich dachte mir , das wäre wie Schummeln, also habe ich alles einzeln gleich sofort schief angelegt.
Ich kann nicht sagen, daß ich echt begeistert bin, aber zumindest bekomme ich keine hysterischen Zustände, wenn ich das Layout ansehe. Und das Zitat ist einfach klasse!

For a challenge a slanted layout was required. Not my thing at all. But so what, I was game, but definitely not for a page with photos so it had to be an AJ page.

Basically you can create the layout as usually and then just tilt everything in the end. As it happened, this was what a lot of people did, but I felt this was a bit like cheating, so I tilted everything from the beginning.
I can't say that I am enthusiastic about this page, but at least I am not having a fit looking at it. And I do love the quote.

Art Journaling: Monthly Muse Dezember Überblick

Im Dezember dachte ich, ich mache mal wieder ein Skinny Layout im Querformat und fange diesmal unten an.

In December I once more made a skinny, but horizontally and starting from the bottom.

Woche 1: Mir kam die Idee mit dem Weihnachtsbaum, den ich mit verschiedenen Fotos füllen will (immer nach dem Motto der Woche). Das erste Motto ist "Seeing", also für mich sind das Weihnachtslichter. So ganz ausgereift ist das noch nicht, aber das findet sich schon noch.

Week 1: I had the idea with the Christmas tree that I want to fill with various photos (according to the week's motto). The first one is "Seeing", so for me that is Christmas lights and ornaments. Not really worked out in great detail, but that will come.

Art Journaling: They told me I couldn't

Die Inspiration Challenge im November war der Satz: "They told me I couldn't so I did." Ich entschloss mich, ihn genau so zu verwenden und zwar nicht auf einer "regulären" Scrapbookseite, sondern einer AJ Seite.

The inspiration challenge in November was a sentence. "They told me I couldn't so I did." which I quite liked and used as is in my AJ page.

Art Journaling: Monthly Muse November Woche 1

Die Monthly Muse im November war die erste, die der ich nur ein Layout habe und nicht alle vier Wochen durchgehalten habe. das Thema Dankbarkeit kann man auch überstrapazieren, ganz ehrlich!

Für die erste Woche habe ich Kurt Vonnegut bemüht, aus dessen Schlachthof 5 ich dieses wunderbare Zitat gefunden habe. Das Buch habe ich vor vielen Jahren gelesen und wüsste nichts mehr daraus. Aber Dank Goodreads kann man heutzutage ja so belesen wirken, wie man will.

The monthly muse in November was the first muse for which I only made one page and didn't go through with the whole month. In my opinion the topic gratefulness is a little bit used too much and I am not one to reflect and scrap about things I am grateful for.

For the first week I used a quote from Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5 which was just perfect. I have read the book many years ago and wouldn't know a thing about it anymore, but thanks to Goodreads nowadays everybody can pretend to be as well-read as they want.

Mirjam von Pink Reptile Designs und Nini von ninigoesdigi haben ein neues Collab Kit herausgebracht namens Make a change. Ein tolles kit, mit dem man jegliche Art von Layout machen kann, Mädchen, Jungen, Art Journaling - egal was, alles geht.

Während des Halloween Bashs gab es auch eine Inspiration Challenge, bei der man sich aus drei Mood Boards eines aussuchen sollte. Alle waren herbstlich - halloween-ish, also war das keine große Herausforderung.

Das Zitat von Thoreau hat mir gut gefallen, also habe ich mir dafür ein Stock Foto von ein paar Kürbissen ausgesucht. das bekommt man gleich Lust auf einen Herbstspaziergang, oder?

During the Halloween bash there was an inspiration challenge with three mood boards to choose from. All of them were about autumn or Halloween, so not big challenge there.

I really liked Thoreau's quote , so I went with a stock photo of some pumpkins. You immediately want to go for an autumn walk now, right?

Art Journaling: Frühling - Monthly Muse Oktober Woche 4

Für die letzte Woche der Oktober Monthly Muse blieb noch der Frühling übrig. Die Farbpalette, die ich mir aussuchte war richtig frühlingshaft - oder auch sommerlich, deshalb fand ich genügend Produkte in Just Jaimees Sommer Storyteller Kits, nämlich vom Juli 2017 und dem Kit Hadley, das, glaube ich, auch aus einem Sommermonat ist. Der Rest ist aus anderen JJ Kits, außer dem Doodle, der von Dawn Inskip stammt.

For the last week of the October monthly muse the season left was spring. I chose a very spring-y or summer-y colour palette and found enough material in Just Jaimees summer storyteller kits, from July 2017 and Hadley which is, I believe also from a summer month a couple of years back. The rest is from other JJ kits, except for the doodle which comes from Dawn Inskip.

Layout: I heart fall

Bei einem Slow Scrap während des Hallowwen Bashs gab Cynthia uns so viele Instruktionen, daß mir erst fast der Kopf schwirrte. Ich habe dann auch erst danach mit dem Layout angefangen, da mir chatten und scrappen zuviel ist.

Obendrein sollte das Thema auch noch Oktober oder Halloween sein. Halloween kommt nicht in Frage, also dann eben Oktober. Trotz meiner anfänglichen Befürchtungen wurde alles gut.

At a slow scrap during the Halloween Bash we got so many instructions by Cynthia that my head was spinning a little. I only started with the page afterwards, chatting and scrapping at the same time doesn't work out that well for me.

On top of that the topic was supposed to be either October or Halloween. Halloween is out of the question so October it was. In spite of my apprehension in the beginning, everything turned out alright.

Art Journaling: Monthly Muse Oktober Woche 3 - Summer at the Lake

Für die Monthly Muse in der dritten Woche war der Sommer dran. Ich glaube meine Monthly Muse war noch nie so inkonsistent wie im Oktober. Meine bisherigen drei Layouts haben echt überhaupt nichts gemeinsam.

For the third week of the Monthly Muse it was summer's turn. I don't think my monthly muse pages were ever that inconsistent before, they really have nothing in common this months.

Layout: Getting high

Für die Inspiration Challenge sollte man sich Inspiration von einem Liedtext holen, nämlich dem hier: The sunshine song von Jason Mraz.

Ich geb' es zu, ich hab mir nur die Lyrics durchgelesen und mir dann den Song gar nicht angehört (erst als ich fertig war mit dem Layout, habe ich es angespielt und nach 20 Sekunden abgestellt - äh, nö!). Aber ist auch wurscht; in den Lyrics (die mir generell zu weinerlich sind) war ein Satz, den ich dann doch brauchen konnte.

For an inspiration challenge we were supposed to get inspiration from some song lyrics: The sunshine song von Jason Mraz.

I admit it, I read the lyrics, and never even listened to the song. Only after I was done I  started listening but turned it off after 20 seconds, um - no!). Doesn't matter though, I did find one part of a sentence that I wanted to use (in general the lyrics are too whiney for me).

An Hintergründen habe ich viel ausprobiert, Holz, bunt, einfarbig, bis ich dann auf diesen blautürkisen Hintergrund gestossen bin, ihn mit einem Foto vom Bodensee vermischt habe und etwas Holz oben drauf. Perfekt!

I tried a lot of backgrounds , wood, solid colour, until I found this blue-ish turquoise background that I mixed up with a photo of Lake Constance and some wood on top. Perfect!

Art Journaling: You know who's gonna give you everything?

Möglicherweise etwas pessimistisch, aber den Wahrheitsgehalt kann man hier nicht abstreiten.

Possibly rather pessimistic, but one cannot deny the truth in that.

Artsy Flowers charity pack

Seit kurzem gibt es den ersten Pack an Artsy Flowers in Anna Aspnes' Shop bei Oscraps, die die Kursteilnehmer selbst gestaltet haben. Anna hatte dies aufgrund einer Anfrage einer Kundin vorgeschlagen, und Anna hat dies umgehend in die Tat umgesetzt.

Last week Anna Aspnes started a new product series, Artsy Flowers No. 1, with, well, artsy flowers that were created by her Artsy Flowers class students. A customer asked if they were available for purchase, so here they are.

Im ersten Set sind vier Artsy Flowers enthalten. Der Umsatz aus diesen Packs kommt zu 100% einer Wohltätigkeitsorganisation zugute. Eine schöne Idee!

The first set with four flowers is available now and the proceeds all go directly to charity, a really great idea to make use of the students' creations.

Art Journaling: Herbst - Monthly Muse Oktober Woche 2

Heute gibe es ein richtig universelles, tolles Produkt zum halben Preis bei The Lilypad. Die weißen Hintergründe des Sets Passion for paper mit Nähstichen sind für alles zu gebrauchen.

Ich habe eines davon hier für mein Monthly Muse Layout der Woche 2 verwendet, Thema war Herbst. Oh Mann, der Fuchs ist zuckersüß!!!

Die Maske ist übrigens wieder aus der (damals) kostenlosen Template der Blog Challenge vom September. Es lohnt sich, diese Challenges immer mal anzuschauen, auch wenn man nicht unbedingt mitmachen will. Hier ist das originale Challenge Layout, und hier habe ich die Maske gleich nochmal verwendet.

Layout: Ein artsy boat am Trafalgar Square

Nachdem ich Artsy Blumen geübt habe, versuche ich mich auch mal an anderen Objekten. Für ein Layout mit Fotos vom Trafalgar Square für mein London 1994 Album hatte ich mir ein Boot vorgestellt. Der Kurs Artsy Flowers von Anna Aspnes kann sehr gut auch auf andere Themen übertragen werden, deshalb dachte ich mir, so schwer kann es nicht sein, ein Boot zu machen.
Und mein kleines Boot gefällt mir auch tatsächlich sehr gut.

Art Journaling: Smile! - Monthly Muse August Woche 4

In der vierten Woche der Monthly Muse im August war das Thema - Double Exposure! Das hatte ich ja schon in Woche 1 und Woche 2 exerziert, somit kein Problem.

Mein Mann der Woche war Harold Lloyd. Das Foto mit dem Grinsen machte die Titelfindung ziemlich leicht.

 

 

Aufgrund der vielen "Smile" Sticker ist meine Creditliste ziemlich lang...
