Love your beary much - Heritage Layout

Mit dem neuen BYOC Kit "Love you beary much" von Pink Reptile Designs habe ich dieses Heritage Layout gemacht. Die Template kommt von Tangie Baxter und ist kostenlos hier zu bekommen. das Foto habe ich mit einem Farbverlauf im Multiply Blending Mode überzogen - ein Effekt, der mir sehr gut gefällt.

I made this heritage layout with Pink Reptile Designs' new BYOC kit "Love you beary much". The template is from Tange Baxter and free this month for the template challenge.
I put a gradient overlay on top of the photo with the multiply blnding mode - an effect I really like.

MOC 5: Photography Challenge (ohne Menschen)

Für die Challenge an Tag 5 sollten wir ein Foto ohne Menschen verwenden. Nichts einfacher als das! Dieser Drache hatte es mir schon angetan, als ich ihn zum ersten Mal gesehen habe, und ich glaube, ich könnte noch zehn Layouts mit dem Foto machen.

For the challenge on day 5 we were supposed to use a people-less photo. Well, that's easy! I loved that dragon at first sight and I could probably make another ten pages with the picture.

Man hält es kaum für möglich, aber ich bin mit meinem London 1994 Album fertig! Hier sind noch das Front- und Back-Cover.
Ganz unten sehr ihr einen Screenshot mit allen Layouts des Albums. Wieder ein Projekt geschafft, und ich bin sehr zufrieden damit.

MOC 3: Mood board challenge

MOC Tag 3: Die Herausforderung: Kreiere ein Mood Board und dann danach ein Layout. Ich hatte schon letztes Jahr einige Mood Board gemacht (die ich noch immer nicht gepostet habe), und das hat richtig Spass gemacht. Als Thema dachte ich mir sowas wie "Paris Chic". Daraus ist dann dieses Mood Board entstanden:

MOC 1: Blind Scrap

Heute reiche ich noch mein erstes Layout für den MOC nach. Die erste Challenge war ein "Blind Scrap" - man bekommt ein paar Anweisungen und macht danach sein Layout.

Dieses Jahr sind mir endlich mal ein paar Feuerwerksbilder geglückt, weil ich mir ein ziemlich praktisches kleines Stativ mit Fernbedienung gekauft habe, das ich um die Balkonbrüstung gewickelt habe. Ha!!!

Today I am showing you my first MOC layout for a blind scrap, i.e. you scrap your page according to a few instructions. 

This year I could finally come up with some fireworks shots because I bought this nifty little tripod with a remote control that I wrapped around our balcony railing. Love it!

MOC 2: Sketch challenge

Am 01.01. begann der jährliche MOC bei The Lilypad, den ich heuer zum zweiten Mal mitmache. MOC heißt Month of Challenges, Jeden Tag eine Challenge, manchmal locker, manchmal mit ziemlich strikten Bedingungen.

Dies ist hier mein Layout von Tag 2, mit dem ich auf dem Blog anfange, denn es ist mit dem neuen BYOC Beitrag von Mirjam gemacht, der heute rauskommt.
Die Challenge war eine Sketch Challenge, bei der man sich nach einem Sketch von Dawn Inskip richten sollte. Brand New Year von Pink Reptile Designs ist viel über Vorsätze, Ziele etc. - habe ich keine... da traf es sich gut, daß ich doch echt am Dienstag mit zwei verschiedenen Socken in der Arbeit erschien, :-)

Vorsatz: Zieh dich ordentlich an! 

On 01.01. the annual MOC started at The Lilypad which I am joining for the second time. Every day a challenge, sometimes laid back, sometimes pretty strict. 

This is my page for day 2, with which I am starting on the blog because it was made with the BYOC contribution from Mirjam that is being released today. 
The challenge was a sketch challenge; we had to work with a sketch from Dawn Inskip. Brand new Year from Pink Reptile Designs is a lot about resolutions and goals - I don't have any... lucky coincidence that I went to the office in two different socks on Tuesday, :-)

Art Journaling: They told me I couldn't

Die Inspiration Challenge im November war der Satz: "They told me I couldn't so I did." Ich entschloss mich, ihn genau so zu verwenden und zwar nicht auf einer "regulären" Scrapbookseite, sondern einer AJ Seite.

The inspiration challenge in November was a sentence. "They told me I couldn't so I did." which I quite liked and used as is in my AJ page.

Layout: Unusual commute

Nach all dem Reden von Cutouts kürzlich im Lilypad Forum mußte ich sie auch einmal wieder ausprobieren (schon zu sehen in meinem DYD Cover). Ich bin dann gleich einen Schritt weiter gegangen und habe eine Template mit verschiedenen Spots für Papiere gemacht, die man dann nach Belieben befüllen oder weglassen kann.

Das Layout ist über einen für mich ungewöhnlichen Weg zur Arbeit. Mein Auto hatte einen Platten, und ich mußte mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zur Arbeit fahren, was bedeutete: Von einer Endstation zur anderen mit der Tram, dann durch einen Park und über einen verlassenen Festplatz - richtig unheimlich früh am Morgen.

OK, after all the talk about cutouts I had to give them a go and create my own but went a step further and made a template with different paper spots for every cut out, that one can fill or leave empty as desired.

This is about a few days of me commuting by public transport because my car had a flat tyre. It involved going from the start of the line to the last stop and then walking through a park and across a deserted fairground - spooky!

Layout: Back in the days

Wer hätte das gedacht - ich als kleines Häschen. Tatsächlich ist das schon sehr lange her, und noch in den Tagen aufgenommen, als ich Fasching nicht gehasst habe.

Das Kit "It's a zoo" von Pink Reptile Designs war für das Foto schön zu verwenden. Die Farben finde ich einfach toll, gedeckt, aber nicht trübselig - genau richtig für dieses (fast schon) Vintage Foto.

Who would have thought it? Me as a bunny. In fact this was a long long time ago and taken in the days when I didn't hate Carnival.

The kit "It's a zoo" from Pink Reptile Designs was really good for this photo. I love the colors, not flashy, but not dull or sad. Just right for this (almost) vintage photo.

Vor einiger Zeit gab es bei uns in der Stadt eine Kunstinstallation von 600 Repliken der Nürnberger Madonna. das mussten wir uns natürlich ansehen.

Die Template, die ich verwendet habe, ist von Amber LaBau und war ein Freebie für ihre Blog Challenge im Oktober.

Some time ago there was a modern art installation with 600 replica of the Nuremberg Madonna, a wood sculpture created around 1510. Obviously we had to go and take a look.

The template I sued was a freebie for Amber LaBau's October blog challenge.

Für die Scraplift Challene im November sollte man ein Layout von Isa Marks liften; keine einfach Sache, sich zu entscheiden, denn sie hat viele, tolle Layouts in ihrer Galerie. ich habe mich letztendlich für dieses hier entschieden.

For the scraplift challenge we were supposed to lift one of Isa Marks' pages; not an easy thing as her gallery is full of gorgeous pages. I eventually decided to lift this page.

Ich machte das Foto größer und breitete mich überhaupt etwas mehr aus. Ansonsten hielt ich mich schon ziemlich an das Original.

I made the photo spot larger and used up more space in general. Other than that I stuck pretty close to the original.

Und wieder eine Seite für mein London 1994 Album. Diesmal habe ich überhaupt kein eigenes Foto gehabt, sondern nur eine Broschüre, die ich eingescannt habe. Das wundervolle Foto fand ich bei Wikimedia Commons und es wird der Kirche 100% gerecht.
Zusammen mit der Maske, manchmal kann man sich einfach nicht sattsehen!

Together with the mask - oh, man, I can't get my fill.

Art Journaling: Things change

Mirjam von Pink Reptile Designs und Nini von ninigoesdigi haben ein neues Collab Kit herausgebracht namens Make a change. Ein tolles kit, mit dem man jegliche Art von Layout machen kann, Mädchen, Jungen, Art Journaling - egal was, alles geht.

DYD 2017 - Album Cover

Der Dezember ist in aller Munde. Viele planen, bereiten vor und überlegen, was für ein Album sie dieses Jahr machen wollen. Ich habe meine Pläne - wie üblich - wieder einmal völlig über den Haufen geschmissen. Erst wollte ich ein 6x8 Album machen und hatte schon das Cover fertig:

Während des Halloween Bashs gab es auch eine Inspiration Challenge, bei der man sich aus drei Mood Boards eines aussuchen sollte. Alle waren herbstlich - halloween-ish, also war das keine große Herausforderung.

Das Zitat von Thoreau hat mir gut gefallen, also habe ich mir dafür ein Stock Foto von ein paar Kürbissen ausgesucht. das bekommt man gleich Lust auf einen Herbstspaziergang, oder?

During the Halloween bash there was an inspiration challenge with three mood boards to choose from. All of them were about autumn or Halloween, so not big challenge there.

I really liked Thoreau's quote , so I went with a stock photo of some pumpkins. You immediately want to go for an autumn walk now, right?

Art Journaling: Frühling - Monthly Muse Oktober Woche 4

Für die letzte Woche der Oktober Monthly Muse blieb noch der Frühling übrig. Die Farbpalette, die ich mir aussuchte war richtig frühlingshaft - oder auch sommerlich, deshalb fand ich genügend Produkte in Just Jaimees Sommer Storyteller Kits, nämlich vom Juli 2017 und dem Kit Hadley, das, glaube ich, auch aus einem Sommermonat ist. Der Rest ist aus anderen JJ Kits, außer dem Doodle, der von Dawn Inskip stammt.

For the last week of the October monthly muse the season left was spring. I chose a very spring-y or summer-y colour palette and found enough material in Just Jaimees summer storyteller kits, from July 2017 and Hadley which is, I believe also from a summer month a couple of years back. The rest is from other JJ kits, except for the doodle which comes from Dawn Inskip.

Das Foto oben links ist ein Stock Foto, unten links eine eingescannte Postkarte. Ohne all dies wäre ich echt aufgeschmissen....

And yet another page for my London 1994 album done. This time with the typical London landmarks, Harrods, black cab and red double decker bus.

The photo top left is a stock photo, bottom left a scanned postcard. Without all these I'd be at a loss...

Layout: The search for the perfect planner

Eine neue PRD Blog Challenge ist da! Diesmal ist es wieder eine Template Challenge mit einer sehr schönen Template, die ich bei meinem Layout um 90° gedreht habe.

Meine monatelange Suche nach dem perfekten Planner für 2018 mußte ich unbedingt dokumentieren. Einen Planner habe ich nun gefunden, ob er perfekt ist, wird die Zeit zeigen. Bis dahin: macht mit bei der Template Challenge! Die kostenlose Template gibt es hier.

A new PRD blog challenge is out. This time it is a template challenge again with a very beautiful template. For my layout I have rotated it by 90° to accommodate my vertical photo.
