Layout: Family portrait

Die Blog Challenge von Pink Reptile Designs im Oktober ist mal etwas anderes, nämlich ein Round Robin, was in etwa einer Flüsterpost entspricht.

Jemand nimmt sich ein Layout von jemand Anderem vor, liftet es, gibt es weiter etc. Wir haben das in drei Schritten gemacht, sprich, das Ursprungslayout wurde dreimal geliftet.

Mein Ausgangspunkt war dieses Layout von Jenn, die wiederum ein Layout von dvhoward aus der PRD Galerie geliftet hatte.

Pink Reptile Designs' blog challenge in October is a little different, it is a round robin scraplift challenge. Somebody lifts another scrapper's page, passes it on and gets scraplifted again etc. In our example the original layout was lifted three times.

My layout to lift was this one by Jenn who in turn lifted a layout by dvhoward from the PRD gallery at The Lilypad.

Im Moment mache ich gerne Heritage Layouts mit Produkten, an die man nicht auf Anhieb in Verbindung damit denken würde. Sehr viel frischer als das ewige Beige und Braun, richtig?

Bei Jenns Layout hat mich das diagonale Design angesprochen, ebenso wie das gelb/pinke Farbschema und die Häkelelemente. Da ich allerdings kein Clusterfan bin, wollte ich das Design mit wenig Layering und Clustering reproduzieren und kam auf Journaling Karten und andere Rechtecke.
Ein paar andere Elemente und die Doodle Linien rundeten das Ganze ab.

I really enjoy making heritage pages with products that wouldn't come to mind automatically. Fresh colours are so much nicer than the usual dull brown and beige, right?

With Jenn's page I loved the diagonal design, as well as the pink/yellow colour scheme and the crochet elements. But, not being a cluster fan, I wanted to recreate the design without too much layering and clustering. So I used journal cards and rectangles instead. A few other elements and the doodle lines are the finishing touches.
